Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose PostGrid Print & Mail from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your PostGrid API key. Log in to the PostGrid dashboard, open Settings and copy the key. A test key (test_sk_...) lets you try things out, and test orders are never printed or mailed. Use the live key (live_sk_...) for real sends.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in PostGrid Print & Mail?

It can read contacts, letters, postcards, self-mailers, cheques, templates, trackers, return envelopes, webhooks and events. It can create contacts and templates, print and mail letters, postcards, self-mailers and cheques, cancel mailings before print, and delete records, if you switch those tools on.

Does the AI see my PostGrid credentials?

No. Your PostGrid credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. With a live key, a new letter, postcard or cheque is printed and mailed for real, and a cancellation cannot be undone, so those actions can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own PostGrid account, and anything PostGrid charges for printing and postage is between you and PostGrid.

Can I try it without mailing anything?

Yes. Connect with your PostGrid test key, which starts with test_sk_. Test orders are never printed or mailed, so you can see how the AI creates letters and postcards before you switch to the live key.
