Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Place2Book from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your Place2Book API access key and your event maker ID. Place2Book issues the API key on request: email Place2Book support and ask for an API token for your event maker account. Your event maker ID is used in every call.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Place2Book?

The AI can read your event maker profile and bank accounts, list, read, create, update and delete events, manage ticket prices, and read add-ons, purchases, ticket arrivals, buyer messages and newsletter sign-ups. It can also register a ticket as checked in by barcode.

Does the AI see my Place2Book API key?

No. Your Place2Book credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Deleting an event or a price is permanent, and creating or changing events can affect ticket sales, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Place2Book account. PipMCP is an independent service and is not affiliated with Place2Book.

How do I get a Place2Book API key?

Place2Book does not show the key in the admin panel. Email Place2Book support and ask for an API access key for your event maker account, and note your event maker ID. Paste both into PipMCP when you connect.
