Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Pics.io from the app list.

Paste your key
Enter your Pics.io App ID and the email and password of your Pics.io user. API access is on the Small plan and higher: ask Pics.io support (chat or [email protected]) to enable it, and they send you an App ID. PipMCP signs in for you.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Pics.io?

The AI can search and read assets, collections, keywords and custom fields, get download links and list collections published as websites. It can create keywords and collections, attach and detach keywords, add assets to collections or remove them, link assets, and set titles, descriptions, ratings, flags, color labels, custom fields and file names.

Does the AI see my Pics.io credentials?

No. Your Pics.io email, password and App ID are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with search only. Changes to metadata and collections can require your approval before they run, for example removing assets from a collection or renaming a file. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Pics.io account.

How do I get API access in Pics.io?

API access is on the Small plan and higher. Ask Pics.io support by chat or at [email protected] to enable the API, and they send you an App ID. You enter the App ID together with the email and password of your Pics.io user.
