Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Penneo from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste the Client ID and Client secret from your own Penneo OAuth client, then sign in with your Penneo user once. You must be an Administrator in Penneo: go to Configure > OAuth Clients, create a new client and add the redirect URI https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback. The secret is shown only once. The API version field is optional and defaults to v3.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Penneo?

It can list and read case files, folders, documents, signers, case file types, contacts, case file history and your pending signing requests, and download documents. It can create and update case files, contacts and signers, upload PDFs, add documents, signature lines and copy recipients, send case files for signing, notify signers again and delete case files.

Does the AI see my Penneo credentials?

No. Your Penneo credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Sending a case file emails the signers and cannot be undone, and deleting a case file is permanent, so both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

Penneo connects with OAuth, and OAuth connections need the PipMCP Pro plan or above. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Penneo account.

How does the AI set the signer's email address?

In Penneo, a signer's email lives on the signing request, not on the signer. The AI adds the signer, looks up the signer's signing request and sets the email there, together with the email subject, text and reminders if you give them. The signer is only emailed when the case file is sent.
