Connect Claude & ChatGPT to PDFModule
Ask your AI to design a flyer or poster from a short description, render an invoice or certificate from one of your HTML templates, or check a PDF for print problems in PDFModule. It can also create flipbooks from a PDF, change their settings, and read their views and the leads people left. You describe the document, and the AI handles the calls.
Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.
Try asking
“Design an A5 flyer in Danish for our summer sale, with bleed and crop marks.”
The AI creates a Creator design from your description with the A5 preset, checks when rendering is done and gives you the PDF.
“Make the headline bigger and move the logo to the top right.”
It refines the existing design with your instruction and checks the new render. It can also give you an editor link if you want to adjust it by hand.
“Render the invoice template for order 1087 with this customer and these lines.”
It finds the template's slug, checks that your data matches its schema, then renders the PDF and returns the download link.
What your AI can do
Designs from a description
Create flyers and posters from plain language with page presets, bleed, CMYK and crop marks, refine them with instructions, and open them in the editor.
Templates and rendering
Create and update HTML templates with {{field}} placeholders, validate data against a template's schema, render PDFs and list rendered documents.
Flipbooks and preflight
Create, update and delete flipbooks, read their analytics and leads, preflight-check PDFs for print, and keep an eye on your PDF quota.
“Is this brochure ready for print? Here is the PDF link.”
It runs a preflight check with the print profile you pick and reports problems with bleed, fonts, colours and image resolution. Preflight is part of PDFModule's Enterprise Print API plan.
“Turn our product catalogue PDF into a flipbook and make it unlisted.”
It creates the flipbook from the public PDF link, waits for processing, then sets visibility to unlisted and returns the share link.
“How many people read the catalogue flipbook this month, and who left their details?”
It reads views and reading statistics for the last 30 days and lists the leads submitted through the flipbook's form.

Set up in three steps
- 1
Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose PDFModule from the app list.
- 2
Paste your key
Paste a PDFModule API key. Log in at pdfmodule.com, open API Keys in the dashboard (pdfmodule.com/api-keys) and create a key. Use a live key (pm_live_...) for real work, since it draws on your plan's monthly PDF quota. Test keys (pm_test_...) have a small PDF allowance of their own. The preflight check needs the Enterprise Print API plan.
- 3
Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.
Questions
What can the AI do in PDFModule?
It can create and refine Creator designs, render PDFs from your HTML templates, create and update templates, and validate data before rendering. It can create, update and delete flipbooks and read their analytics and leads. It can also preflight-check a PDF, re-render a design and check your usage and plan limits.
Does the AI see my PDFModule API key?
No. Your PDFModule API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Deleting a flipbook is permanent and breaks its share link, and making a flipbook public or unlisted lets others view it. Actions like these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own PDFModule account, and designs and renders count toward your PDFModule PDF quota.
Should I use a live key or a test key?
Use a live key (pm_live_...) for real work. It draws on your plan's monthly PDF quota. A test key (pm_test_...) has a small PDF allowance of its own, which is enough to try things out first. The AI can check your usage and how much quota is left.
