Paste an API2Convert API key. PDF2Go's file API is API2Convert, run by the same company. Sign up or log in at api2convert.com, open your account's API keys page, create a key and copy it. Every registered user gets 30 free credits per day, and paid plans add more.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in PDF2Go?

The AI can list conversion types, create conversion jobs, add input files by public URL and conversion targets with options, start jobs, and get the output files. It can also list and read your jobs and presets, show your contracts and credits, and cancel a job that has not started.

Does the AI see my API2Convert API key?

No. Your API2Convert API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start by only reading jobs and presets. Starting a job uses credits, and cancelling a job deletes it. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. Conversions use credits on your own API2Convert account: every registered user gets 30 free credits per day, and paid plans add more.

Can the AI convert a file on my computer?

The AI adds files to a job by public URL, so the file needs to be reachable online, for example through a shared link. PDF2Go then fetches it, converts it and returns the output files.
