Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Out of Office Assistant for Jira from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a REST API token and your installation's REST base URL. In Jira, open the Out of Office app: My Integrations > REST API > Manage Tokens (admins: App Settings > Rest API Permissions) and click Create New Token. Pick PERSONAL for your own rules or ADMIN for everyone's, choose an expiry and copy the token, which is shown once. The base URL is not shown in the app, so ask resolution support for it.

Questions
What can the AI do in Out of Office Assistant?
It can read, create, update, pause and delete your own out-of-office rules, including dates, message, coverers and a project or JQL search that limits which issues are redirected. With an admin token it can also read the rules of other Jira users.
Does the AI see my Out of Office Assistant API key?
No. Your Out of Office Assistant credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Changing a rule affects how your Jira issues are reassigned, and deleting a rule cannot be undone. Both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?

Where do I find the REST base URL?
Each installation of Out of Office Assistant has its own REST base URL, and the app does not show it. Ask resolution support for it (Support > Contact us) and enter it in PipMCP together with your token.
