Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose Netlify from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste a Netlify personal access token. Open User settings > Applications > Personal access tokens, click New access token, give it a name and expiry, and copy it.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in Netlify?

The AI can list and read sites, deploys, builds, forms, form submissions, DNS zones and DNS records. It can publish an earlier deploy, roll back, lock a deploy and release the lock again, update site settings, add DNS records and delete form submissions.

Can the AI break my live site?

Some tools change what visitors see: publishing a deploy, rolling back, adding DNS records or changing site settings. You can switch those off or require approval before they run. Reading deploys, builds and submissions changes nothing.

Does the AI see my Netlify API key?

No. Your personal access token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. Once saved, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only works through the tools you switch on.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on. Risky actions, such as rolling back a site or adding a DNS record, can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged, so you can see what the AI did.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link works in Claude under Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, and in Cursor.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan, and you do not need a credit card to start. Paid plans bill per completed task, so you pay for work the AI actually finishes.
