Paste your key
Hootsuite connects through your own OAuth app, and you sign in with Hootsuite once. You need a Hootsuite Developer account (join through Hootsuite's developer community; approval comes by email). Create an app at hootsuite.com/dashboard#/app-directory/developers/my-apps to get a Client ID and Client secret. In the app, go to Security > Rest API and add the redirect URI https://pipmcp.com/oauth/callback. Then paste the Client ID and secret into PipMCP and sign in.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
- Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
- Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
- Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in Hootsuite?
It can read your own member details, social profiles, scheduled and sent posts, a post's approval history, organizations, teams and members. It can schedule posts, delete scheduled posts, and approve or reject posts waiting for review.
Does the AI see my Hootsuite credentials?
No. Your Hootsuite credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save them, they are not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. A scheduled or approved post publishes to real social accounts, and deleting a scheduled post cannot be undone, so these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
Hootsuite connects with OAuth, and OAuth connections need the PipMCP Pro plan or above. PipMCP also has a free plan with no credit card, but it does not include this connection. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Hootsuite account.
Why do I need a Hootsuite Developer account?
PipMCP connects to Hootsuite through an OAuth app that you own, and Hootsuite lets you create apps from a developer account. Once your developer account is approved, you create the app, add PipMCP's redirect URI and paste the Client ID and secret. After that you sign in with Hootsuite once.
