Paste your GoodAPI API key. Create a GoodAPI account at app.thegoodapi.com and copy the key from the dashboard. You get a test key, which is never charged, and a production key, where every tree or bottle registered is billed. Start with the test key to try it safely.

You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.

What can the AI do in GoodAPI?

The AI can register trees planted and plastic bottles rescued, list those registrations, read planting evidence and get your impact dashboard link. It can search charities and list donations. It can also refund a tree, bottle or donation registration if you switch those tools on.

Does the AI see my GoodAPI credentials?

No. Your GoodAPI API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Planting trees and rescuing bottles with a production key is billed, and refunds cannot be undone, so these can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You connect your own GoodAPI account, so what GoodAPI bills for trees and bottles is between you and GoodAPI.

Should I use the test key or the production key?

Start with the test key. Registrations made with it are never charged, so you can see how the AI plants trees and rescues bottles without cost. Switch to the production key when you want real registrations, and consider requiring approval for those tools.
