Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose EchtPost Postcards from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste an EchtPost API key. Sign up at echtpost.de (free), then in the EchtPost web app open Account → API keys and create a key. Live keys send real cards, sandbox keys only create test records. Top up credit under Account → Credits before sending cards.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

Questions

What can the AI do in EchtPost Postcards?

It can search and read contacts, groups, card designs, templates and cards, and read your account and credit balance. It can send cards with your own text or from a template, check whether a text fits, create and update contacts and groups, cancel a card and delete a contact.

Does the AI see my EchtPost credentials?

No. Your EchtPost API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Sending a card posts a physical card and uses your credit, and deleting a contact is permanent, so those tools can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced, turn on Developer mode and add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own EchtPost account, and the cards you send are paid from your EchtPost credit.

Can I test without sending real cards?

Yes. EchtPost has sandbox API keys that only create test records, so nothing is printed or posted. A live key sends real printed cards and uses your credit. You can also ask the AI to check whether your text fits on the card, which creates nothing.
