Set up in three steps

Pick the app
Create a free PipMCP account and choose CraftMyPDF from the app list.

Paste your key
Paste your CraftMyPDF API key. An API key is created when you sign up: in the CraftMyPDF web console open API Integration and copy (or reset) the key.

Add the link to your AI
You get a personal MCP link. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor:
1. Click your name, then Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
2. Paste your link as the Remote MCP server URL.
3. Switch it on from the + menu in a chat.

What can the AI do in CraftMyPDF?

The AI can list and read templates, template usage and generation transactions, and read the page count and fields of a PDF. It can generate PDFs and images from templates, merge PDFs, fill form fields, add text and watermarks, duplicate templates and create temporary editor links.

Does the AI see my CraftMyPDF API key?

No. Your CraftMyPDF API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start with lookups only. Tools that generate or change files can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own CraftMyPDF account.

Can someone else edit a template's design?

Yes. The AI can create a temporary link to the template editor for a template, valid for the number of minutes you choose. You share the link with the person who should edit the design.
