Connect Claude & ChatGPT to Collect

Ask your AI which document requests are still open, what a client has uploaded, or to send a new request from one of your campaigns. It reads your Collect requests, campaigns, contacts, messages and team, and can send requests and messages, update a request's status, upload documents and send documents out for e-signature.

Try asking

  • “Which requests are due this week and still pending?”

The AI lists requests with a due date in that range and shows which ones are still pending.

  • “What has Nordic Foods uploaded so far?”

It finds the request and reads its items and collected files.

  • “Send the 'Year-end documents' campaign to [email protected], due 31 January.”

It finds the campaign and sends a new request to the contact with that due date. By default Collect then emails the contact the campaign's message sequence.

What your AI can do

Requests and campaigns

List and search requests and campaigns, read collected files and data, send new requests from a campaign, change status and due dates, and export a request.

Contacts and messages

Find, create, update and delete contacts, add contributors to a request, and read or post notes, emails and SMS on a request.

Documents and e-sign

Upload files into a request's document elements, upload a document to be signed and send it out for signature.

  • “Add an internal note to request 5521: waiting for the bank statement.”

It posts an internal note on the request. Internal notes are not sent to the contact.

  • “Mark request 5521 as completed.”

It updates the request's status. A status change only emails the contact if you ask for that.

  • “Upload the engagement letter to request 5521 and send it for signature.”

It uploads the document into the request's e-sign element and sends it out for signature. The signer is notified.

Questions

What can the AI do in Collect?

It can read requests, campaigns, contacts, request messages, elements with uploaded files, your team and its users, and export a request's data and files. It can send requests from a campaign, update requests, create, update and delete contacts, add contributors, post notes, emails and SMS on a request, upload documents and send documents for signature.

Does the AI see my Collect API key?

No. Your Collect API key is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?

Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Sending a request, emailing or texting a contact and deleting a contact can all require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.

What does it cost?

PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own Collect account.

Will the AI email my clients?

Only when a tool that does so runs. Sending a request emails the contact the campaign's message sequence by default, and email or SMS messages on a request go out right away unless they are scheduled. Internal notes are never sent. You can switch these tools off or require your approval first.
