Connect Claude & ChatGPT to ClickTime
Ask your AI how many hours you logged this week, to log two hours on a job, or to submit your timesheet. It works with your ClickTime time entries, timesheets, expense sheets and time off requests, and can look up and create jobs, clients and tasks. It acts with your own ClickTime permissions.
Free plan, no credit card. Takes about a minute.
Try asking
“How many hours did I log last week, and on which jobs?”
The AI lists your time entries for the date range and adds them up per job.
“Log 2 hours on the Website Redesign job, task Design, for today, with the comment 'homepage mockups'.”
It checks which job and task combinations you may log time to, then creates the time entry.
“Submit my timesheet for this week.”
It submits the timesheet for the period containing that date, which sends it to your approver.
What your AI can do
Time and timesheets
List, create, change and delete your own time entries, log time for others if you have permission, and read and submit timesheets.
Expenses and time off
Create expense sheets and expense items, list your expense sheets, and request time off with the time off types available to you.
Jobs, clients and people
Search and create jobs, clients and tasks, and look up users and their details.
“Request vacation on 14 and 15 August, 8 hours each day.”
It finds your Vacation time off type and sends the request to your approver.
“Create an expense sheet called 'Client visit Aarhus' for today.”
It creates a new expense sheet for you with that title and date, ready for expense items.
“Which timesheets for this period are still open?”
It lists timesheets across users, filtered by status and date range, as far as your permissions allow.

Questions
What can the AI do in ClickTime?
It can read and search time entries, timesheets, jobs, clients, tasks and users, and your own expense sheets and time off requests. It can log, change and delete your own time, log time for others if you have that permission, submit timesheets, create expense sheets and expense items, request time off, and create jobs, clients and tasks.
Does the AI see my ClickTime API token?
No. Your ClickTime API token is encrypted at rest and never shown to the AI. After you save it, it is not shown again, not even to you. The AI only sees the results of the tools it calls.
Can I control what the AI is allowed to do?
Yes. You choose which tools are switched on, so you can start read-only. Deleting a time entry is permanent and submitting a timesheet sends it to your approver, and both can require your approval before they run. Every tool call is logged.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode, then add your PipMCP link. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. The same link also works in Claude (Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector), Cursor and other MCP clients.
What does it cost?
PipMCP has a free plan with no credit card required. Paid plans bill per completed task. You also need your own ClickTime account.
Whose permissions does the AI use in ClickTime?
Your own. The API token acts with your ClickTime permissions, so the AI can only see and change what you can. Logging time for other users only works if you are allowed to edit others' time.
